2 MW Tampa Airport is the first of many large projects by Tampa Electric Company. Douglas provided all the engineering design to PE Engineer in Florida using 72 cel 325w SolarWorld modules, and 2 SMA central inverters. The scope of work included demolishing of existing HPS parking lot lighting and to engineer new LED lighting under a new canopy under IES standards. Redesign of existing fire alarm system of the top floor, and cable tray design from combiner boxes to inverters located at ground level. The project interconnects to the grid using a dual secondary winding MV transformer. The project was successfully commissioned in December of 2015.
